Embassy of India, Tokyo, in collaboration with Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO), will be hosting the ‘India Seminar on Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP)’ from 1030hrs on Monday, 28 August 2017.

Skill Development/Training is an important field of bilateral cooperation between India and Japan. In November 2015, the Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) of India and JITCO concluded a Record of Discussion (RoD) regarding India’s participation in the TITP. As part of this, Government of India has accredited five Sending Organizations (namely CII, ASSOCHAM, NSDC, Teamlease and Centurion University) to dispatch technical interns to Japan under TITP.

The seminar will provide an opportunity for the participants to understand the abundant human resource potential of India and how it can contribute to the TITP for the mutual benefit of India and Japan. In presence of H.E. Mr. Sujan R. Chinoy, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of India to Japan, Dr. K.P. Krishnan, Secretary (Vice-Minister) of MSDE, the accredited Sending Organizations will make presentations about their preparedness and intention to dispatch Indian technical interns to Japan under the TITP. It will also provide a platform for Japanese Supervising Organisations, Implementing Organisations and Chambers of Commerce to interact with the accredited Indian Sending Organisations as well as for business matching between the two sides.
